In some cases, your system may display a message containing a variant of error 2042. There can be multiple causes for this error. Error 2042 is your current code for #n/a. It can appear in related match and query functions where there is no absolute value. Make sure your process function has the correct spreadsheet and scale, if that’s what you expect, production will be there.
I’m writing a real VBA program to merge two worksheets and three to split one worksheet. The goal is to combine these strategic spreadsheets into separate workbooks that are actually used to enter fourth data into the workbook and generate metrics from the repository.
doneI am a program that opens a book from a repository, loads all the contents into a table, some go through the books one by one, download all of them fromStored in a table and compare the top cells of each row so you can find the cells. keys in the table database and unique rows added to my repository.
The program seems to be able to do the 1st job, but the Site when processing the 2nd and/or 3rd worksheet (it definitely matches the program) gets a type mismatch error, when I look at the table from the repository, the item is now Error 2042.i
I searched for errors after 2042 but did not receive any intelligible information.
are actually Variant arrays. At the moment it seems to be quite a complicated program, but I can’t get rid of this error.
I didn’t know why my logic couldn’t fix the error.
I’m developing a vlookup that considers “comment” variables as a good reliable option. i
Then I check if the returned value for “comment” is indeed an error. this If a serious mistake, I re-evaluate “comment” to “comment”, vs.otherwise I put “comment”
Dim Check as StringDim comment as an optionFor i = 4 to 13 Check is J) cells(i, Comment = Application.VLookup(Check, Worksheets("Key").Range("M:N"), 2, False) If the comment is "Error 2042", then comment = "" Rest: Cells(i, j + 5) = comment end if next
When I try to move a comment out of a line, a type mismatch occurs. I tried changing the error to 2042 “#n/a” and it still doesn’t work.
